Kashmiri Chicken Livers

This Kahmiri dish is so tasty and makes livers even better than you expect them to be.

What you need:
  • 230 gr livers
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 cm fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp ground tumeric
How to prepare it:
  1. Cut the livers in half
  2. Heat the pan and cook the onions until transparant (not browned).
  3. Add the garlic and cumin seeds and fry for 1 minute.
  4. Add the chilli powder, ginger and tumeric
  5. Turn the heat a bit and fry the livers for two to three minutes.
  6. Add 300 water and bring to the boil. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. The livers must be just cooked and the sauce thickened. 
  7. Season with salt to taste.
  8. Serve with rice.
