A lovely potato pancake
What you need for the potato pancake:
- 2 large potatoes
- one spoon goose or duck fat
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 banana sjalot
- grounded black pepper
- salt
- 1 tsp majoran
- 2 tsp mixed herbs (grounded dried red pepper, cumin, kardemon)
- 2 steaks
- some butter
- grounded pepper
- salt
- 300 gr cranberries
- 1/2 tsp of mixed spices
- 150 gr sugar
- 1 tsp honey
- Put the cranberries in a small pan, add some water.
- Mix all the ingredients and stirr whilecooking.
- Finished when all whole berries are vanished.
How to make the potato pancake:
- Peel the potatoes and rasp them in a bowl. Put the rasped potatoes in a cloth and squeeze the liquid from the potatoes.
- Put back in the bowl and mix well with all the ingredients (except the goose fat).
- Heat a frying pan and add the fat. Then add the potato mix. Form it to a pancake and press to a 1 cm pancake.
- When you see the sides of the pancake are brown (after about 8 minutes), you can turn the pancake and bake the other side.
- Meanwhile strike some fat on the sides on the pan, so it keeps the downside greasy.
How to make the steak:
- Heat a frying pan and add the butter.
- Put salt and pepper on the steak.
- When the butter is foaming, add the kangeroo steak.
- The steak can be baked shortly (about two minutes each side), because otherwhise you will be eating a leather shoe).
- Rest the steak for 5 - 10 minutes.
